Roma interested in signing Arthur from Juventus

Roma are interest in Juventus surplus midfielder Arthur Melo, according to reports on Saturday. The Brazilian midfielder was sent on loan to Fiorentina last season by Juventus but the Viola did not take him on despite the 27-year-old making 48 appearances and being a key player throughout the campaign.

However, Ufabet Sport reveals that Roma are currently monitoring the Brazilian’s situation and could make a serious approach as the Rome side look to bring in a new midfielder.

It depends on how negotiations with Juve go, UFABET with reports suggesting the Gialorossi want to take him on loan. But Juve want to sell him permanently. With his current contract running until mid-2026. 

The Italian media further reported that Arthur is also attracting interest from Everton and Newcastle. Leading the Bianconeri to expect the two English clubs to make an official offer.

Arthur is set to make a decision on his future soon. Although Juventus have change their coach, but the player’s situation is likely to end with him looking for a new team as before.

Among other clubs, Roma were also approach by Melo’s agents.

However, the newspaper adds that Roma do not seem particularly keen on the ex-Barcelona man. And would rather invest in younger players on a long-term basis rather than bringing other players on loan.
